2. What processing activities are carried out?
Calling our website
When you call our website, we collect access data and store it in a log file. This access data includes your IP address. We also store the following in the log file: the name of the web page you called, the file called, the date and time you called it, the amount of data transferred and a message that the site was called successfully, the type of browser you use and its version, your operating system, the site you visited before our website (referrer URL) and the provider that requested access. This data cannot be used to identify you.
Cookies are used on some of our web pages. This is a standard technology in which small text files are stored on the device you use and, among other things, help make your visit to a website more convenient and secure. Cookies can also be used to tailor what is offered on a website better to visitors’ interests or generally improve it on the basis of statistical analyses.
The above data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
The access data is processed solely to optimise technical delivery and the design of the website and to protect our systems (such as in the event of an attack on our IT or a security incident). When our website is called, we cannot use this data to identify a specific person. If you also subscribe to our newsletter, we can assign the IP address directly to you. The cookie ID enables us to tell, for example, whether and to what extent you have already visited our web pages, whether you have already registered with us under a specific ID, and when you returned to this website. You can find more details on our use of cookies in our Information on the cookies, social media plug-ins and tracking technologies used.
Contacting us
The data you send us by e-mail, such as your name, company, address, e-mail address and phone number, is stored for the purpose of personal communication with you.
The data you enter in the contact form is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Web analytics and use of cookies
Tracking and web analytics tools are used on our website. Web analytics help us obtain information on visitors’ behaviour on our website, such as where they come from or how long they stay. That information enables us to pinpoint weaknesses in the website and improve its efficiency.
The legal basis for processing this data is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR. It safeguards our overriding legitimate interest, based on a weighing of interests, in sending advertising messages to users of our website.
The following providers of the tracking and web analytic tools process the access data on our behalf for the purpose of analysing users and preparing the data statistically. As part of that, we have concluded order processing agreements with the providers.
You can find more details on how the tools work and information on how to prevent transmission of the data (tracking) in our Information on the cookies, social media plug-ins and tracking technologies used.
We use tracking and web analytics tools from the following provider: Matomo (formerly Piwik)
Ordering and handling of the take-back process
The data you enter, such as your name, address, e-mail address and account data, is processed for the purpose of the dispatch and return of goods and handling of the take-back process.
The entered data is processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of performing contracts.

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data, you can revoke such consent at any time by notifying us. The same also applies if you wish to revoke declarations of consent you gave us before the EU General Data Protection Regulation came into effect, i.e. before 25 May 2018. Please note that the revocation of consent applies only with effect for the future. Processing activities before the revocation of your consent are not affected by it.
